Archer’s Winter Wonderland Celebration

Uggs, puffy jackets, and hot chocolate—this could only mean one thing: Archer’s Annual Winter Wonderland celebration. The festive event took place on Dec. 12 in Archer’s beautifully decorated courtyard. Archer students adorned their uniforms with winter accessories ranging from scarfs to muffs. Marisa London 14’ said she always looks “forward to seeing everyone in their Winter Wonderland gear!”

It wouldn’t be a true Archer event without food: students could decorate sugar cookies with a buffet of sprinkles and frosting. Student Council also served hot chocolate. Students enjoyed their warm beverages in the 70-degree weather, a refreshing change from the week’s previous cold spell.

This year, pictures with the Panther mascot were free. The courtyard celebration entertained with face painting and candy grams—both beloved Archer traditions.

When asked what her favorite part of the day was, London said, “I always love seeing what each grade comes up with for the gingerbread women!” Before the contest, she added, “Archer girls are always so artistic and creative, and after seeing how great the pumpkins were for Halloween this year, I’m sure it’s going to be a very close competition!”

The final results of this contest are listed below.
